Track-By-Track: Roadtrip release triumphant 'Dynamite' EP
Returning with original music for the first time since 2018, Roadtrip drop their long-awaited third EP.
The latest from a boyband that just doesn’t stop, the five-track Dynamite EP hits streaming services today, already shooting into the iTunes Top 5 albums amongst the likes of Madonna and Bastille on a big day for new music, surpassing Lewis Capaldi’s Divinely Uninspired To A Hellish Extent on the way.
The product of hours in the studio, between filming their viral YouTube covers and touring all over the UK (get tickets for the remaining dates on the Dynamite tour here), Dynamite is a reminder that amongst all of the group’s social media stardom – they’re musicians first and foremost.

1. ‘Dynamite’
The title of the EP and opening track, ‘Dynamite’ marks a fizzing return from the cheeky five-piece. The upbeat Roadtrip sound that fans have grown to love, see ‘Take This Home’ and ‘After The Show’, ‘Dynamite’ is as anthemic as they come.
2. Eternal
One of the EP’s slower moments, ‘Eternal’ is a Roadtrip ballad that was quick to become a fan favourite when debuted in Edinburgh earlier this month. Featuring a HRVY co-write, ‘Eternal’ is a new direction from a boyband who have firmly found their feet in the industry.
3. ‘The One That Got Away’
Dynamite‘s most funky offering and a groovy flick bound to get fans moving, Roadtrip wink, “no I’m not into games, but I like the way you play” on ‘The One That Got Away’.
4. ‘Flashing Lights’
Stripped back but as catchy as ever, Roadtrip play with vocal effects on fourth track ‘Flashing Lights’. A different direction to the rest of the EP, the group show their fresh take on a timeless boyband sound.
5. ‘Something About You’
Finishing with a bang, the Dynamite EP closes with ‘Something About You’. A punching riff and sing-a-long chorus, it’s the trademark Roadtrip sound that rounds off the group’s triumphant EP.
